#23 – 28 Days of Random Acts of Kindness

Tip #23 – Go one step further

Friends enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the kitchen

Instead of just saying “let’s get together some time” – go one step further and say “let’s get together for coffee next week, how about Wednesday 10am?”  Wednesday at 10am might not work, but the odds of trying to find a time that will work and actually getting together for coffee are better than just an open-ended invitation.

Tip # 22 – 28 Days of Random Acts of Kindness

Tip # 22 – Take criticism with your big girl panties on.

constructive-criticism

Sometimes we just need to hear it.  And delivering it can be just as stressful for the person giving any criticism.  Buck up, listen to what you are being told, take it with a grain of salt or take it to heart…just don’t beat up the messenger when delivering some words of advice.

Tip 17 – 28 Days of Random Acts of Kindness

Tip 17 – Send a happy sentiment

Those who matter

I would suspect that many of us are “fans” of some sort of happy quote of the day on Facebook or via email.  How about forwarding it to a friend to share the thought?  Or better yet, send an eCard to someone just because.

PS – I love happy quotes!  Do you have any – share yours in the comments or send a link to a favorite page or website that you follow.

Tip #16 – 28 Days of Random Acts of Kindness

Tip #16 – Be kind to yourself

We get so busy taking care of and helping other people – there is not one thing wrong with taking care of yourself too.  How about a long hot bath, a trip to the library to read in a quiet space, a walk in the park listening to your favorite artist…..

PS – I’m already thinking about next month’s 28 Days of …. any suggestions?
