100 to start – will you help me

Hi Everyone!

My friend Mindy loves alliteration.  Anytime we work on a project together she needs to name it and it always needs to have some sort of “flow”.

She was the inspiration to my themed weekday blogs – –  you know “Not-me Monday“, “Tips on Tuesdays” and so on…..

So I thought we’d go with a little alliteration for a challenge I’d like to propose for May.  But it didn’t quite work out – because all I could come up with was  “A Million in May“.

I’m asking you help in getting my eBook, Making Time for Dinner, launched.  I’d love to get some traction in the sales, but I can’t do it alone.

I’d love to say – help me sell a Million copies in May – – but that might be getting a little greedy.  So instead we’ll forget the alliteration for this challenge and go for

100 in May!

So – will you help me sell 100 copies of my eBook this month.  This is a really doable goal.  It is less than four a day.  We can do it – right?

Here are a few ways to help:

  • Buy a copy for yourself.
  • Buy a copy for your friend.
  • Buy a copy off of Amazon.com and post a review.
  • Buy a PDF version and send me your review to share on this blog.
  • Share this challenge with your friends and ask them buy a copy.
  • Ask your firends to ask their friends to buy a copy.

You can buy either a PDF version here or  you can follow this link to buy it for your Kindle.

Here’s what one reader said about the eBook:

As a new mom, I found this incredibly helpful.  Making Time for Dinner is chock full of good, practical ideas that I look forward to implementing.  From shopping and pre-planning to tidying up afterward, this will help your family make – and keep – great habits.”   ~Elsa

Thanks for the help and for the support!

If you have five minutes to spare….

Happy Friday Everyone!

I wanted to thank everyone for responding to my poll on how many email accounts you personally have.  I am excited to be working on the “Too much in my inbox” series.  The first part will post on Monday morning.

In the meantime – I want to announce a contest I am conducting.

I ran across an interesting article in last month’s copy of the Real Simple magazine (Jan, 2011).

What Can You Do with Five Minutes?

Do you ever find yourself with a few minutes to spare in between projects, or errands, or before bedtime, or before a meeting, or anytime really?  What do you do?  Besides check Facebook and Twitter, Real Simple listed about fifty or so ideas of how to fill small pockets of time.  Some of my favorites are:

  • throw out all expired coupons
  • likewise with five old manuals from electronics or appliances you no longer own
  • do two yoga poses
  • floss your teeth
  • test pens or markers and toss the dead ones
  • brush the cat
  • check your voicemail
  • write a thank you note
  • organize your computer desktop by filing things into the correct folders.

So I challenge you to make the most of the five-minute pockets of time and see how much you can accomplish.  Throughout the month of February, send me your ideas and the things you accomplished.  I”ll post them throughout the month and pick a random winner at the end of the month.  Winner will get a $10 Amazon.com gift card!

Challenge your friends and see what ideas they come up with.  Have them post their ideas too.

Good luck!
