Jackie Kennedy is known as a fashion icon. And her motto was “if you find something you like, buy it in every color.” Well, maybe Mrs. Kennedy was really onto something there.
If you find yourself really dreading the idea of laundry or maybe your schedule is so hectic that squeezing in a few loads here and there is hard to do….here’s my final tip in this series:
Tip 8 – Buy more clothes and do less laundry.
Normally my line of thinking is more on the minimalist side. But let’s think this out.
If we have more clothes:
- the need to do laundry is reduced saving us time.
- we save water and energy when we do less laundry, especially if we have the newer machines that can do giant loads at one time.
- our clothes last longer because we aren’t wearing them as often or washing and drying them as often.
I realize this puts some challenges in different arenas, especially if you have growing kids. Clothes are an investment, I get it. But if you can save time and energy and even costs by doing less laundry – I bet it balances things out.
That’s all for my laundry series. Although I am always discovering new ways of improving old things, maybe I’ll bring more laundry tips in the weeks to come.
I would love to hear what you thought of the series. And if you found it useful, please share with your friends!
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading.
