Day number of seven and I know you might be getting tired of laundry talk, but these last two tips are really great! Here’s number seven:
Get Help – Chart it!
“Sure” you say, “I like my clothes and don’t want to them ruined.”
Do you ever find this to be your attitude? That no one in the house will do the laundry they way you want it done. You live in fear of your jeans or your favorite sweater being put in the dryer and shrunken, never to be worn again?
Put those fears aside and create what my husband calls – A Procedural Chart. Here – take a look at my example (Click on the word – laundry).
Here it is, all mapped out for anyone who can read, measure and execute. And this chart is very easy to create – I suggest you make one the very next time you do your laundry. It is actually pretty easy to do, just takes one laundry day to take note of all the specifics for each load and then create a chart. You can make it very detailed or just the basics, whatever you feel the other people in your home need as far as directions goes.
Need a little help getting this organized? Give me a call – we can work on it together.
It’s time to let go of the Laundry Reigns – it’s time to get help. With a chart like this, there are no excuses!
Let’s have a contest! Share your laundry charts by uploading them to my Facebook page or emailing them to me by next Thursday, April 7th. I’ll pick a random winner and you’ll get a $5 Amazon.com gift certificate!
