Happy Friday Everyone!
The final installment in this week’s “Paper, Paper…Everywhere” is a tip that I found very liberating when I personally adopted it a few years ago.
Don’t read everything!
At first it might sound like a bit of a contradiction, but there is so much information out there and we are bombarded with it from every angle; the internet, emails, newsletters, letters, flyers, postcards, magazines, newspapers….the list goes on and on.
I recommend reading only the items that come in that you give you actual value and pleasure. The other items can be quickly skimmed. Some items can even be tossed away without even opening them at all.
It might take some getting used to, you might even feel a little guilty. But over time, you will realize that you are most likely not missing out on any information you are not getting.
So toss away – and feel liberated! You don’t have to read everything.
And with that, this concludes the “Paper, Paper…Everywhere” series. Tomorrow, I’ll recount each part in a general list. I hope you found this series useful and will adopt some of the tips and techniques.
If this week’s series feels like a good start, but you are still feeling overwhelmed….let’s talk. I can help!
Hope your Friday is great and your weekend is even better.
